ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Field Technician, you will be outdoors, hiking, camping, observing rock formations looking for Earth’s precious minerals. The role encompasses field support tasks (e.g. camp set-up, basic maintenance, safety procedures) and is the perfect job for someone who is excited about hard work in the outdoors. You will be exposed to a variety of new technologies and experiences.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Assist with collection of soil, water, and drill core samples
Transport people and equipment to and from remote work sites
Follow and ensure compliance of all HSE standards
Assist senior geologists and geoscientists with tasks related to moving and setting up equipment
Respect access to and native heritage sites
Provide additional support as needed
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
Physical capability to stand, walk, or hike for extended periods (6+hours/day)
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. throughout the day
Mechanically Inclined.
Experience with the use of a compass and GPS.
A desire to work outdoors!
Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
Possess a valid driver’s license
