WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
The Mining Field Engineer will be part of an integrated project team composed of members from both the managing partner and the contractor companies. The Integrate Project Team is responsible for delivering the mining scope on time and within budget.
Perform field inspections and construction walk-downs.
Ensure all relevant aspects of construction meet structural design intent
Address technical queries and non-conformances
Interpret designs, project specifications, and technical & engineering functional standards
Issue technical queries, non-conformance reports, and other documentation as required
Communicate regularly with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
3+ years of experience in relevant operational or construction engineering
Strong understanding of project & quality management principles
Demonstrated knowledge of large capital projects, including contracts & procurement, construction, commissioning, health & safety, environment & community, and risk workflows
Strong communication skills both written and oral
Preferred, but not required
Underground mining experience
Knowledge of SmartPlant Foundation (SPF) and SmartPlant Review (SPR)
Saskatchewan Professional Engineering License
