About the role:

As an administrative assistant, you will be handling office-related duties getting experience on how a mining company functions as well as getting to know some of the great professionals in the mining industry. The administrative assistant will be providing maternity coverage and is expected to run 3-5 months, with the possibility for extension.

As an Administrative Assistant, your responsibilities include:

  • Provide administrative support to Tamarack office staff and broader mining team, including consultants.
  • Use business software applications such as word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.
  • Receive and direct incoming calls, visitors, mail, and emails.
  • Maintain files, records, and calendars – including document management using an online server.
  • May arrange business travel, coordinate meeting arrangements, and/or track expenses.
  • Communicate with vendors and process invoices.

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • Strong skills using Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
  • Prior administrative experience.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Must be good at communicating and able to work in a fast-paced environment, potentially with frequent distractions.
